Cookies

Cookies are very small text files used by websites, which we set and which your browser stores on your computer. Once a cookie has been set, certain information is sent to us. Cookies do not run programs or transmit viruses to your computer.

Temporary cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. This applies in particular to session cookies. These cookies contain and store a so-called session ID, which allows various browser requests to be assigned to a common session. This makes it possible to recognize your computer when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.

Links to social media platforms

Our website contains links to our pages on various social media platforms. Please note that by clicking on these links you leave our website and the scope of this Data Privacy Statement. On social media platforms, only the data privacy statements and terms of use of the respective operator apply.

Social media plugins

We use the following social media plugins: LinkedIn. The plugin content is transmitted to the respective social media platform operator only when you click the corresponding button. We have no influence on the data collected or how it is processed, nor do we know the full extent of the data collection, its purposes or retention periods. To our knowledge, the data transmitted includes the URL of the page visited and your IP address and/or another platform-specific identifier you use. If you are logged in to the respective social media platform at the same time, the operator may associate your visit to such websites with your user account.

By providing these plugins, we give you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users, which helps us improve our offering and make it more attractive to you as a user. The legal basis for using the plugins is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The purpose and scope of data collection by the respective social media platform operator, the further processing and use of the data by the operator, as well as your rights and privacy settings, can be found in the data privacy statements of the respective social media platform operator:

Embedded third-party content (e.g. Google Maps, YouTube, etc.)

If third-party content such as Google Maps or YouTube is displayed on our web pages, providing and displaying this content in your browser requires you to transmit your IP address and the data listed under “Log files” to the third-party provider. We have no influence on how the third-party provider processes the data. If you are logged in to the third-party provider’s website with a user account, the provider may link your user behavior to that account. Where applicable, the third-party provider stores your data in user profiles and uses it for advertising, market research and/or to design its website according to its needs. Any objection to the creation of these user profiles must be addressed to the third-party provider.

More information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the third-party provider can be found in the provider’s privacy policy, which also contains further information on your rights and privacy settings:

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files placed on your computer to help the website analyze how users use it. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website may be transmitted to servers of Google LLC in the USA and stored there. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; for users in the European Union, IP addresses are used only to derive approximate location data and are then discarded. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link [http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en] or, alternatively, by setting an opt-out cookie by clicking the link below.

Disable Google Analytics with an opt-out cookie

IP anonymization is built into Google Analytics 4 and cannot be disabled, so your full IP address is not stored and cannot be used for direct personal identification.

We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly optimize the use of our website. By analyzing the data, we can improve our offering and make it more attractive to you as a user. Where personal data is transferred to Google LLC in the USA, the transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified. The legal basis for using Google Analytics is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

More information on how Google processes data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

Google Ads conversion tracking

We use Google Ads, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to draw attention to our offers through advertising on external websites. Based on the campaign data, we can determine how effective individual advertising measures are. We aim to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more attractive to you and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.

These advertising materials are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers”. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies that allow certain performance metrics to be measured, such as ad impressions or user clicks. If you reach our website via a Google ad, Google Ads stores a cookie on your computer. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. This cookie typically stores its unique ID, the number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), the last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (indicating that the user no longer wishes to be targeted) as analysis values.

These cookies allow Google to recognize your web browser. If a user visits certain pages of a Google Ads customer’s website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google Ads customer is assigned a different cookie, so cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of different Google Ads customers. We do not collect or process any personal data in the advertising measures described above. We only receive statistical reports from Google, which show us which of our advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data on the use of the advertising materials; in particular, we cannot identify users based on this information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through this tool, and therefore inform you to the best of our knowledge: through the integration of Google Ads conversion tracking, Google receives the information that you accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked one of our ads. If you are registered with a Google service, Google may associate your visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, the provider may obtain and store your IP address.

You can prevent participation in this tracking process in several ways: a) by configuring your browser accordingly, in particular by disabling third-party cookies – you will then not receive any ads from third-party providers; b) by disabling conversion tracking cookies, setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”, https://adssettings.google.com/ – this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; c) by deactivating interest-based ads from providers that are part of the “About Ads” self-regulation campaign via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices – this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; d) by permanently deactivating them in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browser via the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Please note that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website.
